The Science & Information Technology Department of the Government of Sindh, in partnership with Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, is inviting qualified institutions and organizations to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for logistic services under the People’s Information Technology Programme Phase II (PITP-II). This initiative focuses on providing state-of-the-art classroom and logistic support for IT training programs across multiple districts in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions.
The PITP-II program is designed to enhance digital literacy and equip the youth with essential IT skills, preparing them for competitive opportunities in the modern job market. Eligible institutions with the necessary infrastructure are encouraged to participate in this transformative program.
Targeted Districts:
The training sessions will cover a broad range of districts to ensure widespread access to IT education:
- Hyderabad (Qasimabad, Latifabad, Autobahn)
- Dadu
- Mirpurkhas
- Badin
- Thatta
- Tando Muhammad Khan
- Tando Allahyar
- Sujawal
- Umerkot
- Hala
Scope of Logistic Services:
Institutions providing logistic support must meet the following requirements:
- Computer Labs/Classrooms: At least 35 fully functional computers ready for student use.
- Internet & Multimedia: High-speed internet, multimedia facilities, and power backup.
- Basic Amenities: Toilets, drinking water, security, accessibility, and parking.
- Student Capacity: Ability to host a minimum of 50 students per course for 2 months.
- On-Ground Support: Dedicated assistance for trainers, including lab and administrative support.
Important Guidelines for Applicants:
- MUET will conduct a physical verification of facilities prior to approval.
- Preference will be given to institutions with larger capacity and well-equipped facilities.
- Commitment for the full 2-month training cycle is mandatory. Mid-cycle withdrawal is not allowed.
- MUET reserves the right to reject proposals partially or entirely without notice.
- Only shortlisted institutions meeting all criteria will be contacted.
